In 2012 Abdi İbrahim founded Abdi Ibrahim Global Pharm (AIGP) after acquiring a 60% stake in Global Pharm, one of Kazakhstan’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturers. AIGP, Abdi İbrahim’s first production site abroad, began operations in late 2015.

The GMP-compliant plant is one of the most modern pharmaceutical production facilities in Kazakhstan. It has an annual capacity of 24 million packs, and the production complex covers 12,000 m². AIGP’s headquarters are in Almaty, the country’s financial centre.

AIGP’s portfolio of around 100 products includes antibacterial and antiviral medicines, medicines for cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology and metabolism, gastroenterology and neurology, NSAIDs and muscle relaxants, respiratory products, and vitamins and minerals.

AIGP’s main goals are to support the development of Kazakhstan’s pharmaceutical industry, bring innovative medicines to market and achieve leadership in exports to CIS markets through an integrated marketing approach.

Since 2004 Abdi İbrahim has run sales and marketing in five regions of Azerbaijan: Ganja, Salyan, Barda, Sumgayit and Baku. Its activities focus on cardiology, dermatology, neurology and respiratory medicine, and products manufactured at the company’s Istanbul production complex are delivered to patients in Azerbaijan.

In 2010 Abdi İbrahim began operating in Albania through local distributors and business partners as part of its Balkan growth strategy, and in 2021 it established its own sales and marketing team in the country. Its products, manufactured at the Istanbul production complex to international standards, cover respiratory and central nervous system medicines, analgesics, consumer health products and other specialty medicines.

Abdi İbrahim began operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2015 by establishing its own sales and marketing team. All products marketed in the country are manufactured at the Istanbul production complex. The range focuses mainly on analgesics and medicines for central nervous system and respiratory disorders.

Abdi İbrahim has conducted sales and marketing in Georgia since 2007 through a representative office and local teams in two regions, Kutaisi and Tbilisi. Its operations focus on psychiatry, cardiology, neurology and respiratory medicine. All products marketed in Georgia are produced at the company’s Istanbul plant.

Abdi İbrahim began operating in Tunisia in 2011 and works there with its own sales and marketing team. All Abdi İbrahim products marketed in Tunisia are manufactured at the Istanbul production complex. The portfolio focuses on central nervous system and respiratory medicines.

Abdi İbrahim began operating in Iraq in 2011 by establishing its own local sales and marketing organisation. Its range in Iraq covers cardiology, respiratory and central nervous system medicines, OTC products and hepatology. All products marketed in Iraq are produced at the Istanbul production complex.

Abdi İbrahim began operating in Saudi Arabia in 2014 through distributors and later decided to build its own field force and marketing organisation to play a more active role in the domestic market. Taking into account the bilateral relations between Türkiye and Saudi Arabia, in 2023 the company began expanding its presence with a broader product portfolio and a new business model.

By 2025 the company plans to expand its range to 30 molecules and around 70 products, some manufactured locally and others imported from Türkiye. Its operations in Saudi Arabia will be a key element of the company’s Gulf countries project.

Abdi İbrahim began operating in the UAE in 2015 through distributors and later decided to strengthen its presence with its own field organisation and marketing teams. In 2023 it expanded its collaborations and established its own field organisation in the country.

By 2025 the company plans to increase its UAE range to 30 molecules and around 70 products, some manufactured locally and others imported from Türkiye.

In 2022 Abdi İbrahim began operating in Kosovo with its own sales and marketing team as part of its Balkan growth strategy, and it continues its commercial operations in the country. Its products, manufactured at the Istanbul production complex to international standards, cover respiratory and central nervous system medicines, analgesics, consumer health products and specialty medicines.

In 2022 Abdi İbrahim began operating in North Macedonia through local business partners as part of its Balkan growth strategy; its own sales and marketing team was planned for 2023. Its products, manufactured at the Istanbul production complex to international standards, cover respiratory and central nervous system medicines, analgesics, consumer health products and specialty medicines.
